Our 43rd show was once again a great success. This was one of the largest shows in the Western Cape this year and our second largest show overall, with 125 cats in the catalogue.

The old Cape Hunt & Polo club is a delightful new venue, with easy access, ample parking and the lovely rural atmosphere so typical of Durbanville. The cats enjoyed the surroundings, with the bird life visible through the large windows and the beautiful green Cape scenery.

We were privileged to have two international judges at our show. Janis Christison from Australia and Eduard Borras from Spain joined the local WCF and SACC judges in selecting a good variety of winners. At this show we welcomed SACC Allbreeds Philippa van Diggelen back to the Cape.

All the categories were well represented. We had quite a number of mature and older cats on the show, joining the ranks of lots of babies. A first at this show was a litter of 10 Maine Coons that needed 5 handlers during the Best on Show.

An enjoyable day with lots of happiness and proof that the cat fancy is alive, well and thriving.
